Besides the furry residents, explore our exciting indoor attractions and find out just why donkeys matter through interactive displays in the Exhibition Barn and Understanding Donkeys Zone.
Enjoy a delicious meal at The Kitchen restaurant, where freshly prepared dishes using local, ethically sourced produce are served overlooking the donkeys’ paddocks and coast. Great value group menus are available for pre-booked groups, including a complimentary meal for the driver.
The new Gift Shop stocks a wide selection of quality gifts and souvenirs to remember your visit by. From donkey-design items to cards, locally-made produce and our Adopt a Donkey gift packs, browse at leisure in the knowledge that every stylish purchase goes towards helping donkeys in need.
We are open 365 days a year from 9am until 5pm (4pm from November to February).
Dogs on leads are welcome. Please do not leave them in vehicles.

Booking your group visit
Pre-booking is essential with a minimum one week’s notice. For more information or to book a group visit, please call 01395 578222.
Payment for pre-ordered food will be required to confirm the booking and must be made at least one week in advance of the booking date. Payment is non-refundable.
Accessibility
The dedicated coach lane allows easy drop-off at the main entrance. The main grounds of the sanctuary are accessible by wheelchair. We have a limited number of wheelchairs and one motability scooter available to pre-book. Please contact us if you’d like to pre-book a mobility aid for your visit. Stuart Line Cruises, Exmouth
Stuart Line Cruises is an award-winning, family-run business, operating from the traditional seaside town of Exmouth in Devon for over 50 years. Take in the history, beauty and wildlife of the River Exe or Jurassic Coast with a River Exe Cruise (1hr 15 mins) or a Mini Coastal Cruise (1hr).

World of Country Life, Exmouth

Seaton Tramway, Seaton
Board the famous Tramway at Seaton and enjoy amazing views across the River Axe estuary, Wetlands nature reserve and the World Heritage Jurassic Coast while you travel in style on the open-top double-decker to Colyton Station.
