In May we proposed the closure of our Donkey Assisted Activity (DAA) centres in Manchester, Ivybridge, Birmingham and Leeds, and for Belfast to become a small sanctuary and re-homing centre.

This proposal was made to ensure we can make the best use of our donors’ money and effectively reach the millions of donkeys who desperately need our support, in the UK and around the world.

The collective consultation process has now come to a close, In light of this, we will shortly be closing operational activities at the four centres above and repurposing our Belfast centre.

Please note that these four centres are now closed to visitors, and we will no longer offer DAA programmes at these sites. We have contacted all those who have booked visits, and we are working closely with DAA referral agencies to ensure clients are informed and receive the support they need.

We continue to offer Donkey Assisted Activities at our main site in Sidmouth, Devon, which remains open to visitors.
