Introduction to equid dentistry

Introduction to Equid Dentistry

Course code: DENT101

Introduction

Introduction

The first in a progressive series of courses designed to establish a scientific, evidence-based approach to equid dentistry. This preliminary course is designed to be an introductory foundation for equid dentistry. The content for all six of our courses will be a sound theoretical foundation for vets/EDTS progressing on to the BEVA/BVDA examination and/or the RCVS Advanced certificate.

It must be acknowledged that there may be a need for the development of practical skills that would be outside the remit of the training offered on our e-learning platform. These courses would be ideal for an EDT who is undertaking a practical apprenticeship, vets looking to support further learning, or those undertaking non-UK dental certification or similar.

This preliminary course is designed to be an introductory foundation for progression through a series of more advanced courses on the subject of Equid Dentistry. This course includes modules on Nomenclature and terminology, Anatomy, Ageing, Handling, and Health, Safety and Biosecurity. After successful completion of Introduction to Equid Dentistry, it is proposed that delegates will enrol on course Equid Dental Diagnostic Methods.

Free online course for professionals only. Self-paced.
